Description

Create your own balaclava hood. Folded rectangular sc hood with a back seam. A separately crocheted sc BLO collar is sewn into a tube and attached around the hood bottom. No under-chin cords.

DIGITAL CROCHET PATTERN ONLY. No finished hat, yarn, hooks or other physical materials are included.

Included: one printable 4-page English PDF using US crochet terms, with materials, gauge, three adult size options S/M/L, stitch-count checkpoints, assembly and adjustment guidance. Skill level: intermediate assembly.

Sizing: Adult head targets 50 (55, 60) cm. Hood depth 22.5 (25, 27.5) cm; hood height 22 (24, 26) cm. Relaxed collar circumference 36 (40, 44) cm. Collar height 6.7 (7.8, 8.9) cm. This is an open-face hood with stretchy neck collar, not an eye-hole ski mask.

Materials: Resilient worsted wool blend, initial allowance 210 (250, 290) g; 5.0 mm hook for hood and a hook that produces the collar gauge. Yarn quantities are planning allowances, not measured usage.

Development edition: not yet physically crocheted or fit tested. Gauge, fit and stretch must be checked on a physical sample before release. Listing images are realistic mockup visualizations of the proposed design, not photographs of completed crochet samples.
